The Minimedia site is comprehensive and will be of help to many parents of young children. I wish [it] every success.
Leigh Hay, Editor, KidsLife
Dear Francesca and Minimedia Productions ……I have for the first time found a DVD which not only engages my 12 month old son but provides him with an opportunity to both respond and show what he has learned….Bab-e-books [My Little Everyday ABC] and a visit to the Minimedia information website have finally enabled me to appreciate what all the experts have been talking about (from both health and educational perspectives). It makes me proud to know that this new program option came from an Australian parent who finally decided to take a look at media through infants' eyes.

As an early childhood professional, I understand the importance of allowing very young children plenty of time to process what they are experiencing. Children also require varied and quality experiences to help open the neural pathways in the brain needed for continued learning. They love colour, movement, repetition and rhyme.
This is all beautifully delivered by Minimedia Production’s Bab-e-books DVDs and CD-ROMs. This new and exciting initiative in early education offers programs which are geared to very young children’s natural attention levels and are free of sensory overload. They are presented in a calm, well-paced manner with bright, cheerful colours which are sure to appeal to a wide range of children from 0-6 years and to families who want to make learning FUN.
As children turn the page, lift the flaps, anticipate what comes next or try to guess which animal is hiding they are developing pre-reading skills, memory and prediction abilities, visual discrimination, concentration, language skills and much more.
It is well documented that children learn best if they are engaged and enjoy what they are doing. During my viewing of the ‘trialing’ footage of the programs I was impressed by the children’s enthusiasm, the absolute fun they were having and the evident learning taking place.
Minimedia also provides a website which is full of good ideas and information about very young children and the media. A must for any parent, carer or professional who is concerned with the fast-paced, media driven world we live in and the effect this can have on our children. I take great pleasure in recommending these Australian-made, quality programs as a valued addition to children’s educational resources. Robyn Behan. Dip Community Service (Children’s Services)
……I just wanted you to know that I got the My Little Choo Choo Around the Zoo and Benjamin LOVED it! It's the only thing that Benjamin has wanted to watch since he saw it -- "Mommy choo choo" and "manimals" (animals) "please". It's really great, a good pace for him and he loves the animal noises, the pictures and the choo choo train. Alison Berks, Sydney, NSW
…Using My Little Everyday ABC has definitely shown us how ‘sustained attention’ with many programs is not always a reliable indicator of benefit. Whereas little Samuel sat mesmerised in front of other programs from the very beginning (and showed us no long-lasting benefit), his attention levels started off shortish with the Bab-e-books DVD and then increased every time the DVD was put on. As with a book, his attention appeared constructive, he was able to pull away at any time, and he realised on the second and subsequent viewings that he was able to recall and, well, simply ‘show off’ what he had learned and knew.
Thanks for bringing a product out like this
- for children AND for parents!
P.S. Thanks for the health and education links provided on your website re kids and TV - very practical and informative.

Well done Minimedia, My Little Everyday ABC is fantastic. We recently discussed this new concept in our "Working with Children" class and there was great interest from everyone. I had been looking at the program and thought how excited they will be when they see the real thing. I love the way you have included four different ways of viewing the book. In addition to infants and toddlers, I also immediately thought of the possibilities for children with disabilities. This could also be a very useful tool in many centres and schools. The simplicity of the format and layout are well considered. I had better go the kids are getting hungry.......again!

At last… here is an engaging and developmentally age-appropriate resource for parents and educational professionals alike. I can’t wait to use it with my own children when I have them!

I managed to get hold of your DVD [My Little Everyday ABC] online and all I can say is 'brilliant'. Why has it taken so long for something like this to come out? My little ones (13 mo and 24 mo) get a kick out of showing me what they know and I get a kick out of learning what I didn’t know (i.e. that it IS in fact possible to tell whether a pre-talking infant is learning anything from television; and that with the right type of program, an 18 month old is capable of learning many things, including his alphabet, amazingly quickly, and inside out!). It's been a lot of fun to observe this past month. p.s. 'Australian' also gets the big tick from us. Thanks and all the best

Congratulations on such a wonderful and informative website.
I have 9 children (6 of which are step) and number 10 is on his (or her) way! I am so looking forward to showing ‘bump’ your products My Little everyday ABC and My Little Choo Choo around the Zoo. I have found the information on your website to be interesting from both a parental and professional perspective. Your links and articles are well considered and resourceful. With regards to the Minimedia Initiative as a whole, I must admit that my 8 year old was absolutely mesmerized by television when he was a toddler and now that he is in grade 3 he is finding it very difficult to sit and concentrate and finish set tasks, while my 7 year old, who was not so interested in/exposed to television, is advancing in leaps and bounds. I only wish your practical information for parents and your infant titles were available to us from the very beginning! Once again, congratulations, and I hope to see more of your products, because lets face it, we do need something to help us finish our jobs at home but at the same time want to be comfortable with what our little ones are watching.
Best wishes, Rebecca Sherring, Registered Nurse, Victoria
It is sometimes hard to get feedback from customers on specific products due to their anonymity, however one of the people who bought My Little Everyday ABC for her grandchild came back to us and said the parents and child just loved it. She wants to get the second one when it comes out.
All the best, Judith, Windmill Education, Hobart
Parents should feel comfort in the knowledge that finally here is an age appropriate interactive DVD especially designed for children in their early years. As a teacher parents are often asking for advice on how they can develop their children’s learning opportunities at home prior to starting their formal education. Some parents, especially those with language difficulties themselves, are often concerned that they do not have the skills or understanding of the English language to positively influence their children’s learning..- this is where these DVD’s are so fantastic! Parents can be assured that their children will be engaging in a fun and purposeful learning experience.
Alice Dixon, Primary School Teacher, Victoria
I have the ABC DVD and have just purchased the Zoo DVD. My son is 20 months old and has developed so quickly with the ABC DVD. He can recognise letters in a sentence and tell us what they are. He asks for the DVD constantly - it is the first DVD that has replaced the Wiggles for him!
Everywhere we go now Ky points out letters on signs, posters etc.
Thank you for providing such a valuable resource. We look forward to viewing the Zoo DVD… [Do you] have a numbers dvd available for purchase over the internet? R Morrison, Eucla, WA
